WTVI welcomes Ken Conrad and his familiar voice

WTVI, Charlotte’s PBS television station, has added broadcast veteran Ken Conrad to its creative staff part-time. Conrad will apply his baritone voice and seasoned interviewing skills to hosting pledge shows, supplying voiceovers, and assisting with program planning, editing, and promotion. The current P.A. voice of the Charlotte Knights, Conrad energizes baseball crowds at Knights Stadium every week. For the last ten years, Conrad was the morning and afternoon host on Concord’s WEGO-AM (1410), simulcast on WAVO AM (1150) in Rock Hill. He has worked in broadcasting since the early 1970s, including high-profile slots on 106.1 WNMX-FM and Lite 102.9 WLYT-FM.
